Thread Cover Overview

This thread cover hides the exposed threading on our Shade Ready Sockets for a cleaner, more polished finish — no more visible plastic threads peeking out under your shade. It's an easy add-on to any build, and just as easy to add to a fixture you already own.

Raw metal and raw brass finishes are left untreated for an industrial look — expect natural color variation, and know that they'll oxidize and tarnish over time. Want a different look? Buff and polish raw brass, or sand and paint raw metal to your liking.

Is a 1⅝" shade opening the same as a "Euro fitter"?
Yes — Euro fitter is the common industry term for this 1⅝" opening size, which is what our Shade-Ready shades and this thread cover are built for.

How do I know if my shade will fit?

Does adding this cover affect how I wire the socket?
