Euro Style Shade-Ready Socket for DIY assembly

Our Shade Ready Socket in black is the ideal solution for adding shades to your light fixture designs. When selecting a shade to go with your fixture, be sure to consider the diameter of the socket, as well as the shade style. This socket is designed to pair with Euro shade fitters. If you need help determining the opening of your shade, check out our Shade Compatibility video. 

All Color Cord Shade-Ready shades will be compatible with the socket, but when pairing with a vintage or outside shade brands, you will need to measure and confirm as there are many sizes and styles of shades available.

These sockets are self-locking! Do not assemble the sockets with the terminal inside before it is wired. The terminal will lock the socket permanently. Check out the following how-to video on assembly. 

As with all of our sockets, if you plan using this socket with our DIY light cord, we recommend using a cord grip/strain relief for a secure attachment, which is sold separately. With all lighting projects and DIY fixture assembly, we always recommend consulting a licensed electrician.
