Our acrylic light shades are currently available in five different sizes, ranging from 6” in diameter to 16” in diameter. All the globes have a luminous, milky finish that diffuses the light from your bulb into a softer, warmer glow. These globes are also incredibly hardy, with the resilience of acrylic while still looking like glass so you still achieve a beautiful glow without worrying about shattering.
Some important notes to consider when combining our outdoor globe lights with existing fixtures or All-in-One options are the technical specifications. The diameter for the socket is the same on all globe sizes at 1 ⅝” to ensure cohesive sizing across all applications. However, the opening at the bottom will vary depending on the overall diameter of the globe. Please check all measurements to ensure compatibility with your fixtures.

How well does light pass through acrylic?
Acrylic has a pretty strong light transmission! This material also ensures that the lighting is more uniform and soft, especially at night. However, since our acrylic globes have a luxe milky finish, you can expect slightly less light transmission that results in an even softer, celestial ambiance.
Does acrylic degrade in sunlight?
Our acrylic shades are safe for outdoor applications. Additionally, acrylic is more resilient and shatter-proof, adding to its durability for long-term use.
Is acrylic better than glass for lampshades?
Because it’s so unlikely to break and has higher light transmission than glass, acrylic has replaced glass in many applications. Plus, there’s little difference between the light that comes through acrylic shades and glass shades.
