Acrylic is a great material for light fixtures because it’s scratch- and shatter-resistant, making it a reliable light shade for indoor-outdoor living. This material is lighter than glass with the same light transference and clarity. We recommend using acrylic globes in any high-traffic areas or where you may be renting a space where heavier light fixtures may not be recommended.
