Wholesale Application



Thank you for your interest in becoming a stockist of Color Cord Company products! Currently, we are accepting additional retail partners. To get the process started, please review our requirements for our authorized dealers below, once confirmed, you will have access to our wholesale application. (Please note: These requirements are subject to change at our discretion.)
 

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS 

We here at Color Cord Company personally review all applications to become an authorized stockist of our products. Our goal is to partner with businesses that have potential to maintain a mutually profitable and growing relationship. We are actively looking for partners willing to be brand ambassadors for Color Cord Company. We prefer our dealers to have a retail brick & mortar (physical location) within the Home Decor and Lighting industry. As there are many forms of retail business, we are willing to be flexible with the type of business if it is a good fit for our brand. The following are requirements for all our dealers: 

• The World Effect, LLC is our parent company doing business as (DBA) Color Cord Company. We reserve the right to open and/or close wholesale accounts at anytime. 

• Our wholesale program is not intended for businesses in the trade, such as Architecture & Interior Design firms, Contractors and Electricians. We have a separate Designer and Trade Program for these customers. 

• All applicants must be an official business with a Federal Tax ID#, actively conducting a retail business. For start-ups, please do not apply until you are ready to provide documents and photos that support your active business status. 

• All our retail partners must stock product they plan to sell. We DO NOT drop ship and we do not accept orders on a per-project basis. 

• Our initial orders must exceed $500.00 USD at wholesale cost, all reorders must meet or exceed $250.00 USD at wholesale cost. Newly opened accounts will receive a price list. (Please note, prices are subject to change without notice.) 

• All product prices are FOB from our warehouse in Denver, CO 80205. Shipping costs are not included and will be invoiced. We will ship via FedEx ground unless prior arrangements are made. We can also use customer FedEx Account Numbers, please let us know in advance to make these arrangements. 

• Initial sales terms for all accounts will be paid in advance (PIA). Our preferred payment is through our secure electronic invoicing system using a credit card. Upon account set up, we will contact you for credit card information to attach to your account for the initial order and will be used for reorders as well. This is the fastest method to avoid any shipping delays. Payments can also be made via corporate check (checks must clear before shipments are made). Dating may be negotiated after your account"s annual orders exceed $5,000 USD at wholesale cost. 

• All promotional materials, websites, and social media channels referencing our products must credit the Color Cord Company brand. Failure to do so will result in account closure.

INTERNATIONAL REQUIREMENTS 

• Our main market for our partners is within North America. We will consider partners outside of North America in a case by case basis. Currently, we only manufacturer cord sets and electrical components intended for USA style plug ends and for 120 V systems. 

•All shipments are FOB Denver, CO 80205 USA. By default, we send via FedEx international. If you have a freight forwarder or have a drop ship location within the USA, please make arrangements with us prior to ordering. If the order volume is sufficient (full container), we can investigate direct delivery from our factory. 

•Our international customers are responsible for all taxes, duties and fees associated with importing goods to their respective country. The majority of our product is manufactured in China, not the USA, so the products do not qualify for NAFTA. It is our customer"s responsibility to know what is and what is not allowed to be imported into their country.  


E-COMMMERCE REQUIREMENTS 

• All applicants who wish to sell our products online, must get our prior approval for each URL to remain an open account.  

• Color Cord Company does NOT drop-ship. All approved dealers must stock the items they plan on selling. Selling out-of-stock product to end users is forbidden. 

• All approved online customers are required to list the Color Cord Company brand name in the product name and product description within your e commerce website . This is strictly monitored. Failure to do so will result in account closure. 

• On a case by case basis we can supply a limited offering of high resolution images. All images provided are Copyrighted and to be used in conjunction with Color Cord Company products only. Lifestyle and Staged images are the responsibility of the customer. 

• Selling on 3rd party websites (example: Amazon, Ebay, Flash Sale Sites) is strictly prohibited. Failure to do so will result in account closure. 

ETSY REQUIREMENTS 

• Etsy is intended for artisans, makers and craftsmen to sell original designs. The designer can only use our products as components to their original creations. By meeting these requirements, we waive the requirement to include "Color Cord Company" in their product description. Color Cord Company does NOT allow our products to be sold "as is" on Esty.com, this is strictly enforced.
