Pick up an extra black ring for your Shade Ready Socket — standard or extended threads, either works. Adding a second ring lets you "sandwich" your shade or light fitting into place for a more secure hold.

I ordered the part based on the code on the old part, but did not check to see that the new part was a different diameter than the old one. I took it out of its bag and realized my mistake. Unfortunately, the return policy states the part must be unopened to be returned.
