The Cord Thumb Switch is an inline component that easily fits into the palm of your hand allowing you to easily turn your fixture on and off with the flip of your thumb. From table lamps and sconces to pendants, this hard plastic component is a great addition for any DIY project and comes with an easy toggle button that connects directly to the cord. However, this a tricky item to assemble, so we recommend this particular part for electricians or advanced DIYers. We ordered these switches since they have a flat entry point. It worked well with the Flax color wire. A little tight fit, but nice finish end.

These switches are really great and easy to add in later if desired. Perfectly non-bulky addition to your cord. You need pliers to close them. The thicker cotton blend cord has a harder time fitting in the openings, I wasn’t able to fully close them down, but close enough for now.

I have been replacing cord switches with these thumb switches for years & my customers love them! They are simple & easy to use. Also very easy to install. They are easy to add a small drop of solder which gives the a bit of fail safe quality.
