A helpful kit for securing a 1/8 IPS opening (1/2") style shade to your cloth-covered wire — includes a female metal cord grip/strain relief compatible with all our 18g DIY cloth-covered wire sold by the foot. Check out this blog video for an example of the assembly. Available in 5 finishes.
- 1x 1" 1/8 IPS All-Thread Nipple
- 1x 1/8 IPS Metal Washer
- 2x 1/8 IPS Silicone Washer
- 2x 1/8 IPS Knurled Nut
- 1x 1/8 IPS Female Barrel Cord Grip
Raw Metal finish oxidizes and will rust over time — a good fit for industrial and upcycled builds, or sand and paint it if you'd rather. If your project doesn't fit this kit, we recommend consulting an electrician about your individual project needs.
