Purchase an extra ring for either the standard or extended thread Shade-Ready Socket because sometimes one ring just isn't enough. So, when you need extra support for your shade, consider adding a second ring to "sandwich" the light fitting/shade into place.

- Raymond B.Verified BuyerRated 5 stars7 months agoA Hollywood mirror was created
A Hollywood mirror was created using Shade ready sockets with two shade rings. One as a backer behind the mirror frame and one on the front of the mirror frame to retain the socket. Lamp wire, purchased in bulk from a home center, was used to daisy chain the sockets together. A second lamp wire with plug attached was used to terminate the circuit and plug into the wall or use a power strip with an on/ off switch. Alternately, a credenza dimmer can be used to plug into. The wire ends were tinned prior to pushing into the sockets. Was this helpful?CCColor Cord Company7 months agoWhat a cool DIY! Thank you for sharing those pictures, they look great! We appreciate your review and business, Raymond.
- Rosemary A.Verified BuyerRated 5 stars1 year agoGreat company
I'm so glad I found this site. They had exactly what I needed to turn a basket into a lampshade. It was super easy as they have videos on the website. I do wish that they had prompted me to order the other things I needed like the cord grip but I'll order separately. Was this helpful?CCColor Cord Company1 year agoHi Rosemary!
