E12 Basic Socket Overview

The E12 Basic Socket in ivory is a clean, simple candelabra-style socket made from off-white thermoplastic — perfect for chandeliers or decorative fixtures that call for an E12 bulb base. Top threading is 1/8 IPS, ready to work with whichever cord grip style suits your project.

Please note: This socket takes E12 candelabra bulbs only — it is not compatible with standard E26 base bulbs, so confirm your bulb base before ordering. It's also self-locking: the cap locks onto the body once snapped together, regardless of whether it's wired. Make sure your wiring is complete and correct before snapping the cap into place, since separating it afterward can be tricky.

    Ground screw does not have

    Ground screw does not have sleeve so difficult to catch wire.

    Hi Lorna,

    The E12 sockets are 2 conductor sockets and do not have a ground terminal so you will just clip the green ground wire and omit it from use. The screw you may be referring to is used to lock threading and will not be used when wiring the socket.
