Use the Cord Stay to Keep Cords in Place
Manage the path of your color cord with our sleek cord stay. Whether you want to create a straight line or structure a zig-zag design, the stay is simple to install and looks great too!
In our studio, we like to use these products for our sconces with cords to secure the cord along the wall, or for securing the cord hanging from a ceiling light fixture via a swag hook for pendant lights. It also is very effective as a minimalistic swag hook in the ceiling for low-weight fixtures.
The Cord Stay comes with a compatible wood screw as well as a hex key to adjust the anti-spin set screw if needed. We recommend using the provided drywall anchor if not mounting the Cord Stay into a stud or using the stay to bear any weight beyond the placement of a cord.
Please note that the cord stay is designed for Color Cord Company cord. The diameter of our cord is 1/4 inch. It may work with outside cords that are similar in sizing, but we can not guarantee third party applications.
Versatile Use for Customized Cords
The stay is easy to put on the wall and use with our customizable cords. It includes a hex key and a wood screw. 25/32” diameter is perfect for our DIY lamp cords. Its 9/16” height won’t stick out too far, but it will be a perfect addition to your lighting fixture look.
With several different color options available, you can choose the stay that matches or one that contrasts for a pop of color in your lighting fixture design. Please note that the raw metal and brass finish is not treated and may rust or have imperfections. If you prefer a polished look for your cord management, we would not recommend raw materials, but this is an ideal option for an industrial look or any DIY amendments.
A Minimal Way to Hang Lights
A cord stay is also a perfect option if you’re hanging pendant lights or other light fixtures. It makes an ideal hook and is easy to install into any type of ceiling. Since it can hold up to 3 pounds of weight when it’s installed in a stud, you’ll be able to hang all your favorite pendant lights from it. It is made to match a variety of cords and creates a more modern look compared to traditional hooks for lights.

These little guys run double duty and helped put that finishing touch on my new AiO plug-in pendant light. I used three to secure my new pendant's red/persimmon cord to the wall in a neat, organized way. I then used two down along the baseboard bringing a refined, intentional look to the entire fixture. Besides being cute as a button, these cord stays are very solid and do the job well. A must if you get a plug-in light from this very cool, very colorful company. Oh... And shout out to their support team. So helpful, knowledgeable and amazing. This is how you do it people. A+ from a new loyal customer.
