Basic Socket Overview

The Basic Socket in ivory is a great alternative to our black version, especially when you're working with lighter colors. Made of smooth ivory thermoplastic, it keeps the focus on your design and pairs cleanly with our socket covers if you want a decorative finish.

This socket is an off-white ivory, not bright white. It pairs especially well with white cord and a clear cord grip.

Does this socket take a shade?
Not directly — this is our basic socket without a shade ring. If you're building a shade fixture, check out our Shade Ready Socket instead.

Add a socket cover for a decorative finish, then pick up a cord grip to keep it securely attached to your cord — sold separately, or pair with one of our power cord whips to build a full plug-in fixture. As with any lighting project, we recommend consulting a licensed electrician if you have questions about your specific setup.
