The color was true to what was shown online and is well matched to my office cabinetry where I am using these cords to convert previously-hardwired library sconces at the top of two bookcases. The color allows the wires to practically disappear from view. My husband is the electrical guy and he said its the best and toughest wire insulation he's ever seen. He noted that the insulation was molded around the wires instead of just a tube encasing, which he said was high quality. He wanted to cut back a bit more insulation to work with the individual wires but his nippers couldn't easily get through it - said it was, on one hand, a little frustrating, and on the other, very impressive.
