We're currently accepting new wholesale partners. Whether you're a retailer looking to stock our products, an OEM lighting manufacturer sourcing components, or another type of business that's a good fit for our brand — we'd love to hear from you. Our wholesale program is open to retailers, OEM lighting manufacturers, and other businesses that incorporate or resell our products at volume. If you're an architect, interior designer, contractor, electrician, or maker ordering for individual client projects, our Designer & Trade Program is the right fit for you.

General Requirements
We personally review all applications to become an authorized partner. Our goal is to work with businesses that have the potential to build a mutually profitable and growing relationship — whether that's a home décor retailer, a lighting manufacturer sourcing components, an OEM partner, or another business type that's a strong fit for our brand. We're open to different business models as long as you stock what you sell and represent the Color Cord Company brand well.
- The World Effect, LLC is our parent company doing business as Color Cord Company. We reserve the right to open and/or close wholesale accounts at any time.
- Our wholesale program is intended for businesses that stock and resell our products — including retailers, OEM lighting manufacturers, and other qualifying business types. It is not intended for trade professionals ordering for client projects (architects, interior designers, contractors, electricians). Those customers should visit our Designer & Trade Program.
- All applicants must be an official business with a Federal Tax ID#, actively conducting retail business. Start-ups should not apply until they can provide documents and photos supporting their active business status.
- All retail partners must stock the product they plan to sell. We do not drop-ship and do not accept orders on a per-project basis.
- Initial orders must exceed $1,000.00 USD at wholesale cost. All reorders must meet or exceed $500.00 USD at wholesale cost. Newly opened accounts will receive a price list. Prices are subject to change without notice.
- All product prices are FOB from our warehouse in Denver, CO. Shipping costs are not included and will be invoiced separately. We ship via UPS Ground by default. We can also use your UPS account number — please make arrangements prior to ordering.
- Initial payment terms for all accounts are paid in advance (PIA) by credit card via our secure electronic invoicing system. Payment can also be made by corporate check (checks must clear before shipment). Net terms may be negotiated after your account's annual orders exceed $5,000 USD at wholesale cost.
- All promotional materials, websites, and social media channels referencing our products must credit the Color Cord Company brand. Failure to do so will result in account closure.
International Requirements
- Our primary market for wholesale partners is within North America. We will consider partners outside North America on a case-by-case basis.
- We currently manufacture cord sets and electrical components intended for USA-style plug ends and 120V systems only.
- All shipments are FOB Denver, CO 80216 USA. We ship via UPS International by default. If you have a freight forwarder or a drop-ship location within the USA, please make arrangements with us prior to ordering. For sufficient order volumes (full container), we can investigate direct delivery from our factory.
- International customers are responsible for all taxes, duties, and fees associated with importing goods to their respective country. The majority of our products are manufactured in China and do not qualify for NAFTA/CUSMA treatment. It is the customer's responsibility to know what is and is not allowed to be imported into their country.
E-Commerce Requirements
- All applicants who wish to sell our products online must receive our prior approval for each URL. Unapproved URLs will result in account review or closure.
- Color Cord Company does not drop-ship. All approved dealers must stock the items they plan to sell. Selling out-of-stock product to end users is forbidden.
- All approved online customers are required to list the Color Cord Company brand name in the product name and product description on their e-commerce website. This is strictly monitored — failure to comply will result in account closure.
- Selling on third-party marketplaces such as Amazon, eBay, or flash sale sites is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate account closure.
- On a case-by-case basis, we can supply a limited offering of high-resolution product images. All images provided are copyrighted and may only be used in conjunction with Color Cord Company products. Lifestyle and staged images are the responsibility of the customer.
Etsy Requirements
- Etsy is intended for artisans, makers, and craftspeople to sell original designs. Approved Etsy sellers may only use our products as components within their own original creations. By meeting this requirement, we waive the obligation to include "Color Cord Company" in their product description.
- Selling Color Cord Company products "as-is" on Etsy is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate account closure.
Order & Production Policies
All wholesale orders are subject to our standard production and order policies in addition to the wholesale requirements above.
- Production lead time: Made-to-order fixtures require 10–14 business days for production before shipping. Plan inventory orders accordingly.
- Rush production: Available at an additional fee shown during product customization. Rush reduces build time only — expedited shipping must be selected separately for faster delivery.
- Order cancellations: Standard orders may be cancelled before materials are pulled for production. Rush orders may only be cancelled within 24 hours of placement. Bulk orders of 10 or more fixtures are final sale and cannot be cancelled once confirmed.
- Returns: Eligible items may be returned within 30 days in unused, original condition with a Return Authorization. Custom items, bulk orders, and final sale products are non-returnable.
- Defects & damage: Must be reported within 7 days of delivery with photos and your order number.
