Product Information

Breathe new life into your DIY wiring project with the versatile Color Cord 3000. This universal DIY wire stripper is effective and easy, making your projects faster to complete. Compatible with all of our round cloth covered SVT wire, the tool comes equipped with multiple blades for stripping and cutting. There’s a coaxial cable stripper cassette, an adjustable round cable stripper, and a wire cutter. Basically, all it’s missing is a drink holder.

Stripping fabric wrapped color cord jackets is traditionally a difficult and frustrating job, but this tool makes it easy enough for your housecat to do the job, no claws required. (Note: do not let your kitties play with cords.) The knob located on top of the tool allows you to adjust your blade. Just use the wire-cutting blade on the back of the tool to remove any excess wire, and then use the cable stripper to strip the PVC housing with perfect precision. All you have to do is line up the cable and turn the tool clockwise until you achieve a perfect cut.

Please note that this is not compatible with conductor wire.

    I am a tool junkie.

I am a tool junkie. I like the quality but, a note is to use tape on the cloth clad cording. It will help make a nice clean cut. I actually used heat shrink tubing which worked amazingly.

This tool is inexpensive and does the job perfectly. Without this tool, stripping the cloth covered wires is quite difficult to do without doing damage to one of the current carrying wires. That damage can be devastating if you haven't allowed some additional wire to revere form the mistake.

Great tool at a good price

Worked very well to cut the color sleave 18/3 wire. Be sure to test cut to set the correct depth and amount of turns to cut the outer sleave just shy of the inner wires.
